AYYUBID: al-Nasir Yusuf I (Saladin), 1169-1193, Glass jeton (6.05g), A-793.1, technically anonymous, but citing the Abbasid caliph al-Mustadi bi-amr Allah (1170-1180), light gray-green, opaque, well-preserved, VF, RR. Since the Abbasid caliph did not control Egypt, this Egyptian jeton must be either Zangid (less likely) or Ayyubid. A similar glass jeton, but half the weight, was sold in our Auction #18 (Lot 337) for $340.
