1858:  120 c. blue, type 21, used on piece, dated 12 August 1858, four even good margins all round, fresh colour, neatly cancelled leaving almost complete stamp clear, very fine, scarce early date Scott = $725. Additionally comes with 1858 180 c. green, type 14, tied to tiny piece, dated 16 February 1860, four margins, crisp and vivid printing, very fine (ex Lagerloef), a nice duo Scott = $1'050 combined. 1864 (April 13): Escuditos  6 c. carmine-rose, two examples, with large margins all round, used on a cover from Montevideo to Buenos Aires, Argentina, dated 3 August 1864, tied by oval Montevideo datestamp in black. Part of reverse reduced leaving partial commercial cachet in blue. Horizontal filing fold well clear of adhesives. An attractive and fine cover.
