Cyprus Ottoman period 1734 (April 2): Entire letter with full content from Cyprus to Marseille, no postal markings.

Cyprus Ottoman period 1828 (Dec 6): Entire letter from Cyprus to Firenze with "D'OLTRE MARE / LIVORNO" struck on the front, reverse with partial San Rocco Lazzaretto handstamp (Meyer page 189). Entire with some staining due to the disinfection, some insect bite on reverse, nevertheless an interesting and scarce item.

1851: Entire letter bilingually addressed to the Sardinian Consul in Aleppo struck with negative "An janib Beirut" handstamp in blue (Coles & Walker fig. 1) with reverse showing superb "Consolato di Sardegna in Bayrouth" seal with Royal Arms vignette on reverse in blue; and 1858 entire letter from Aleppo to Antioch without postal markings. Scarce pair. Ex collection Luca Biolato.

1913 (Oct. 23): Adrianople issue, the study on leaves with unused set of three perforated SPECIMEN, the set handstamped with rectangular "T" marking in black, usages on cover/card (6) including delightful usage from Adrianople to the printer's of the issue, Bradbury Wilkinson & Co., in London.

1863/1958ca.: Tughra collection 1863/64 of eighty used stamps of all four values displaying BATTAL and mute cancellers in singles, pairs and strips of three, including the postage due issues with many on fragment. The lot includes two tete-beche pairs of the 20pa yellow, as well as a fair selection of most values. 1897: China Dowager corner marginal 1 c. yellow and 2 c. orange used with 1898 Coiling Dragon 1 c. pale orange pair on 1 c. rose postal stationery card to Milan, Italy tied by "Pa-kua" in black with "SOOCHOW" dollar chop above (April 9, 1898), transit of Shanghai dollar chop (April 11) with Hong Kong 2 c. rose pair tied at British P.O. on the same day. A most attractive combination usage.
