PERSIAN OCCUPATION OF SYRIA: "Heraclius & Constantine ", 610-629, AE follis (5.48g) (C)ON, year 12, Pottier-—, officina E, first letter of mint name likely, possibly not a Persian imitation, but a later Arab issue, lovely patination, VF, R. The light weight, slightly below all Persian Occupation examples recorded by Pottier, as well as the blundered obverse text, suggest a later Arab imitation, perhaps late 630s to 640s.
