1903 Registered double-weight cover from Gorkha to Kathmandu franked on front by vertical strip of four of 1a. blue, recut-frame variety on local paper (setting 26B-27) clichés 22, 30, 38 and 46, and on the reverse by block of three (clichés 44, 51 and 52 with 51 inverted and a paper fold), all tied by Gorkha h/s in square of bars, backstamped two Gorkha negative postmarks (dated 59/9/28 and 59/9/29 = 11 resp. 12 Jan. 1903), and Kathmandu arrival cds. A remarkable and scarce cover.
