1832, entire letter written by Mr. Challaye, General Consul of France at Smyrna, dated 2 April 1832, to the Public Health Authority in Marseille, with purification marks. Challaye answers a request concerning the sanitary situation at the island of Syros. He mentions jurisdictional disputes in French Levant area and therefore forwards the request to Baron Rouen, the French General Consul at Nafplio, which was Greek's capital during the War of Indepence.
