1879 Officer's envelope from The Kurram Valley Field Force at HABIB KALA during the Afghan War to London, franked India QV 2a. and 4a. tied by manuscript "Habib Kala 26/2/79" as a normal practice to prevent the native runners removing the stamps, with Kohat and Bombay transit dater as well as London '29 March 79' arrival datestamps on the reverse. Letter (missing) written by Bt. Lt. Col. G. de C. Morton (known corespondence) after the assault and capture of Peiwar Kotal. A VERY RARE COVER FROM HABIB KALA DURING THE AFGHAN WAR.
