Crown CC, perf. 12½, THREE PENCE with Thick Bar surcharge (B), a used example, variety "Surcharge Double" well centred and of fine colour, cancelled lightly in black leaving the variety clear. This Setting was one of five horizontal rows of 12. The third application of the forme was one row too low, giving double overprint varieties found on row 16. Just 12 stamps in all can exist. Rare.
