Auction 309-320 - Great Britain 1840–1841 Europe & Overseas - Day 5

1914 (29. Oct.): 30 Pf. orange/black on salmon, overprinted TOGO ANGLO - FRENCH OCCUPATION, setting 16mm wide, spacing 2mm wide, 5 examples with additional franking of seven further stamps on front to RHYL tied to front piece of registered envelope by LOME cds. The franking shows some signs of wear but is believed to be unique, thus a most significant piece of postal history.
