Crown CC, perf. 12½, FOUR PENCE with Thin Bar surcharge (A), a horizontal pair used on 1867 cover to King Williams Town, Cape of Good Hope, tied by segmented cork handstamps in black. Oval framed "ST. HELENA" datestamp in blue below (May 31) and "Cape Town / Cape Colony" cds (June 12) above in black. Slight flap damage, minor aging, backstamped with oval "King Williams Town" datestamp (June 17). A splendid and rare Southbound cover.rnrnProvenance: Collection W.S.
