Stampless Postal History: 1806 (September 2): folded letter from Quebec to Guernsey, internally docketed 2 September, multiple manuscript rate markings denoting a total due of 1/9, choice strike of "Ship Letter / QUEBEC" in black, with faint red "Ship Letter / GREENOCK" struck at upper right, reverse with partial red Oct 19 c.d.s., a lovely strike of the Quebec crown double oval, particularly desirable to such an uncommon destination.
