1870: 1½ d. rose-red, plate 3, lettered OL, in combination with 1876 8 d. orange, plate 1, lettered OD, used on a registered envelope from London to Turin, redirected to Milan before being directed back to Turin, Italy, dated 10 April 1878, tied by a dumb circular cancel in black, with a London 'W.C. D. O.' registered cds in red alongside. To reverse, numerous transit and arrival datestamps. There is a vertical filing crease left of center, well clear of adhesives. Some stains, otherwise fine. A scarce combination; one of less than ten recorded.
