1854: 6 d. mauve, embossed, touching two sides and cut into right, in combination with 1856 4 d. carmine, used on small envelope from London to Coruña, Spain, dated 15 May 1856, tied by the London '22' barred oval, with large oval 'PF' (paid to fronteir) and a Calais double circle in black alongside. A blue '4R' handstamp postage due mark being applied on arrival in Spain. To the reverse a London circular in black and a faint arrival in blue (22 May 1856). Light vertical filing crease to left side well clear of the adhesives. A scarce combination.
