Embossed Issues 1857/61: 1 d. embossed on deeply blued paper, a horizontal strip of three used on cover from Pietermaritzburg to Dr. Sutherland, Surgeon General, Colonial Office in Durban, the strip with large margins all round and neatly tied by oval lozenge of dots cancellation in black. File fold away from the adhesives and reverse with manuscript notations of provenance. An exceptional and truly remarkable cover for the connoisseur of classic philately. Signed Holcombe. Cert.
