1892 (January 4): Cover to Assen, Van Gorcum correspondence, franked with 1889 1 d. carmine with noticeably shifted overprint, 2 d. olive bistre pair, cancelled with Bremersdorp squared circle, crisp free strike below, reverse with Steynsdorp (Jan 6), Johannesburg (Jan 9), GPO Cape Town (Jan 13), London (Feb 2), and Assen (Feb 3) transit and arrival markings, the odd spot of discoloration, a desirable and scarce franking, paying the correct 5 d. letter rate for mail up to ½ oz.
