1868: 3 d. deep dull purple (Type B, 18 mm.), two examples used on 1875 cover to Stellenbosch, Cape Colony endorsed "Immediately", tied by segmented cork handstamps (Proud K22) in black. "ST. HELENA" despatch cds in black (Dec 4) and manuscript "4" pence in red crayon, 2d. credit to St. Helena and 4d. rate to the Cape. Obverse with both "CAPE TOWN / CAPE COLONY" cds (Dec 13) and STELLENBOSCH arrival cds (Dec 14). A fine and fresh cover.
