British Protectorate 1815-1864 1860: Cover from Corfu to Venice endorsed "D'Officio", struck with superb circular "CONSOLATO GENERALE PONTIFICIO NEGLI IONI / CORFU" on obverse and as seal on reverse, carried free of charges to the Pontifical Consul with very fine three line "LETTERE ARRIVATE / COL VAPORE / DAL LEVANTE" in black and Venezia arrival cds (March 23) on reverse. Delightful and very scarce.
