1939/1940: Assembly of 10 censor WWII air mail covers and one First Day Air Letter originating from a military base. Mostly sent from the Gold Coast (9) using aeromaritime arrangements and or Air France all with censor marks almost entirely typed or printed commercial envelopes; a Great Britain 1942 6 d. purple used on First Day Air Letter form dated 7 December 1942 from to Army Postal Service in East Africa from Francis J. Field (famous philatelist), a scarce example. Also among others; 1943 Red Cross Postal Message Scheme with British Red Cross cachet in purple front and to reverse. Several other scarcer and better examples (11).
