1840 (May 13) 1d. envelope from London to Bristol, neatly cancelled by a fine strike of an orange-red Maltese cross and showing "TP/ High. St. SG (St Giles)" in black alongside, the reverse flap showing a lovely clear strike of MY 13/1840 cds which opens perfectly for display, rare so fine.
