Israel Postal History - 2 period postage due cover mailed from Affula (Northern Israel) to Keasaria (Caesarea) just north of Hadera. Franked 20 Mil Palestine Mandate stamp, tied by March 31 1948 Affula double ring postmark. The cover arrived at Hadera post office 2 months after dipatch where 20 Mil postage due stamp added tied by Hadera M.O (Money order section) p/m dated June 7 1948. Palestine mandate stamps were permitted for use by Minhelet Ha'am until May 14 1948. So the cover taxed at the required double the deficiency, as the letter rate was 10 Mil. Hand notation on top "T 20 Mil". Cover with one mid. vertical light fold, otherwise VF & rare. This is the only cover known with Hadera M.O Mandate type p/m tied to postage due stamp.
