lot # 6610 - stamps brustschilde
¼ Groschen grey-violet and 1 Groschen reddish-carmine in mixed franking with 3 Kreuzer carmine each with clear franking mark "RAUSCHENBERG 30.1.1872" on larger part of letter. The 1 Groschen stamp with slightly toning and the 3 Kreuzer stamp with fixed corner tooth, otherwise all stamps are fresh colours, well perforated and in good condition. A decorative use of the 3 cross stamp in the groschen district, as this is equivalent to only 6/7 groschen, the nominally smallest groschen stamp had to be added in order to achieve the 2 groschen postage. In this combination a unique, very rare currency mixed franking of the same value, certificate Krug BPP (2009) and Dr Zill (2024).
