1929-30 'AIR MAIL' opt Lakatoi 3d black & blue-green, Ash printing, lower marginal strip of 5 with upper stamp opt INVERTED, resulting in TETE-BECHE pair ('top to top') with lower normal stamps, with John Ash printer's imprint at base. Superb fresh MNH, pristine never hinged original gum & perfect quality. SG 114d cat £13,000 for M, so should be at least double, £26,000 MNH. This is the rarest error of Papua as only 1 sheet was discovered with 2 rows of 5 opts inverted so only 5 of each of the 2 combinations of tete-beche pairs existed, and totally unique multiple with imprint. 1989 BPA & 2008 Ceremuga photo-certs for sheet/block this item came from, plus 2019 Ceremuga AIEP photo-cert for this strip.
