1840 2d. Blue Plate I letters N-A, deep blue shade fine used fractionally touched N.E. otherwise '4' margins example, cancel almost appears circular, fine deep shade almost 'clear' profile. Note significant plate wear across entire image, more pronounced to base and S.W. creates woolly blotchy broken printing appearance. Provenance - supplied by Alcocks Cheltenham (1970's) for £13.
