1 d. black, plate 1b, lettered PJ, four clear to large margins, tied to folded entire from London to Saxmundham by red Maltese Cross, turned and affixed with further 1d. black, plate 6, lettered JK, four large margins, cancelled by red-brown Maltese Cross, re-posted to Sweffling, re-folded for display, PJ with vertical crease, usual filing folds and wrinkles as expected, a rare and striking usage Gi. AS5, AS41.

1 d. red, plate 1b, lettered HK, four large balanced margins, with non-coincident re-entry showing portions of the original impression, centrally-struck upright Maltese Cross in black, very fine Gi. AS7b = £475.

1 d. red brown, plate 1b, horizontal pair, lettered GC-GD, good to very large margins, showing portion of adjoining pair at top, cancelled with black Maltese Crosses and in manuscript, GC showing the non-coincident re-entry, a few small imperfections, mostly at foot, a scarce and attractive pair Gi. AS7 = £ 950.

1840: 1 d. black (3) and 1 d. red (1), a matched group of four lettered MI, each with very good to large margins and cancelled with red or black Maltese Cross, two plate 1a examples, showing little to no and significant plate wear respectively, two plate 1b examples, one each in black and red, repaired impressions showing characteristic re-entries, a remarkably fresh and fine group that would be a challenge to reassemble in such quality. 1 d. black, plate 2, lettered FA, margin single showing partial "...to remove the Cem..." plate inscription, margins fair to large, cancelled with lightly-struck Maltese Cross, small trivial mark in margin a fine and rare used example, most attractive. Cert. RPSL (2023) stating "..cleaned which has reduced the obliteration." Gi. AS14.

1 d. black, plate 2, block of four, lettered HF-IG, four chiefly good to large margins which have been skillfully repaired in places, particularly along right, each stamp cancelled with red Maltese Cross, IF-IG with horizontal crease, yet a scarce and most attractive multiple.
