Lokris, Lokri Opuntii. Silver Stater (11.9 g), ca. 360-350 BC. Wreathed head of Persephone left, wearing triple-pendant earring and a necklace. Reverse OΠONTIΩN, the hero Ajax advancing right, brandishing sword and holding shield decorated with griffin and palmette; on ground below, spear and javelin. Delbridge grp. 17; BCD Lokris-Phokis 61. Fine style and lightly toned. Very Fine.
