1836 (Sept. 24): Entire letter from Derby Line Vermont to New York, struck on obverse with fancy intaglio handstamp "DERBY LINE / VT." in notched arc band in black dated in manuscript "Sept 24", "18¾" rate to New York, file fold through marking, still an extremely fine strike.

1869: Two covers, both addressed to Kettwig an der Ruhr, both franked 15 c., one with three-colour-franking 2 c. + 3 c. + 10 c. (Scott 113, 114, 116) the other with a single franking of the 15 c. (Scott #118) stamps on both letters annulled with black killer aside red cds "NEW YORK PAID ALL Br TRANSIT", and "VERVIERS A. 13.4. .. COELN FRANCO" - very attractive!

1893: Colombus issue 3 c. green, 4 c. ultramarine and 6 c. purple used on 1903 registered / AR Adams Express Co. envelope from Boston to Port Louis, Mauritius all tied by Boston ovals in black and by "Registered / London" transit (Feb 7) in red. Handstamped "Return Receipt Demanded" in violet. Slight ironed crease across 4 c. but an unusual destination for this issue.

Lots & Collections 1850/2005ca:  Collection of USA in six albums, highlighted by two file folders filled with covers dating from the 19th century onwards, many addressed to Europe. Notable items include a $1 Farragut (Scott #311) on cover and a 50-cent Zeppelin stamp on a flight cover. Four albums or stock books comprise both used and unused stamps, featuring duplicates in the 'back of the book' section (officials, parcel post stamps, etc...

1851/1976: Fine old-style unused collection housed in a Yvert preprinted album. Starting with various classics in slightly mixed condition such as Franklin and Washington 1851, including a 90 c. Washington 1857, 15 c., 24 c., 30 c. from the 1869 issue, 90 c. Perry carmine, and 90 c. Perry violet. It features a full set of Columbus 1993, a full set of Omaha, and more.
