60 reis black, Early Impression, a fine ample to large margined example, some light soiling, used on 1844 entire letter to Rio de Janeiro tied by bold strike of circular "C. DO SERRO" handstamp (Ayres fig. 1562) in black with cruciform date "12.2.1844" alongside in manuscript. Minor vertical file fold well away from the adhesive but a remarkable and extremely rare entire. Illustrated in Juchert "Bull's Eyes on Covers" on page 267.
