Second French Occupation (1807-1809/1814) 1810 (March 1): Entire letter from the Paymaster of the 14th Light Infantry Regt. in Corfu to Castelnova, Italy with fine strike of circular "POSTA SETTINSULARE / CORFU" in blue-green ink and "8" décimes rate alongside in manuscript. Slitted horizontally for disinfection with reverse showing two "Débourse" markings applied in transit: "DEB 108 / d'acqui" in red and "DEB 106 / ASTI" in black, re-rated on eventual arrival at "14" décimes with both "5" and "10" crossed out. A rare entire.
