Stampless Postal History, 1831/74, Upper Canada mail, with over forty covers, written-up on pages, displaying a range of paid and unpaid rates and towns of origin, almost all to destinations within Upper Canada, etc, noting 1831 letter from Gananoque, 1844 letters from Port Stanley and Lanark, 1847 "Too Late" letter from Tyrconnel, 1849 letter from Jordan, 1851 letter from Port Burwell, and 1855 letter from Rockton, each of these with neatly-struck double split-rings with date in manuscript, the Tyrconnel cover being the earliest recorded date, and the Rockton example struck in blue, 1834 "Turned Cover" from Dunnville to Queenston, 1846 Port Mailtland manuscript cancel, striking 1847 letter from Brockville to Ramsay missent to Smiths Falls, fine 1853 "Too Late" letter from Belleville to Toronto, 1855 letter from Perth to Ramsay with "Paid 6" cancelled and re-rated "Paid 3", lovely embossed 1855 cover from Ballinafad, etc, some with small faults, filing folds, etc, but many fine covers, a superb lot for the specialist.
