Pearson Hill Parallel Motion Multiple Unit Trials London: A study mounted upon four pages comprising eight covers illustrating the postmarks which came from the First, Second and Third Multiple Unit Trials. Featured are the London duplex cancels; '2', '4', '5', '6', '87', '88' and '89'. With the exception of the '89' all are single 1 d. frankings, the latter having a 2 d. blue. Noted; a very attractive mourning envelope franked with an 1858 1 d. red sent from London to Cambridge dated 29 November 1860 tied by a fine strike of the '5' duplex in black. A scarce group informatively written-up. Comes with a single 1 d. red with a partial strike of the so-called Salisbury '683' Pin-Postmark which was a trial in London.
