1847/58: Four exhibition pages all with two cover examples mounted and neatly written-up. The first page illustrating the Pearson Hill Parallel Motion Third Trial duplex cancel '3' in black, Type III, Code B. One example franked with a single 1857 1 d. red, Die II, perf. 14, London to Carlisle, dated 29 May 1858, tied by a fine single strike. The other franked with two single 1857 1 d. red, Die II, perf. 14, London to Kells, Ireland, dated 5 July 1858, tied by two strikes (one to each). The second page illustrates Pearson Hill Parallel Motion Fifth Trial duplex cancel in black, Type V, Code 'A'. Top cover unfranked and with a fine strike of the '3' barred duplex in black, dated 8 April 1859 sent to New York the other franked with 1857 1 d. red, sent to Scotland, dated 19 May 1859, tied by the same cancel. Similarly the third page has two covers with the '3' duplex from the Eighth Trial, dated 24 April and 17 August 1860. The last page illustrates the Pearson Hill 'Arrival' and 'Transit' postmark trials, one example of each. Some imperfections but a scarce and interesting group (8).
