Auction 333-341 Western Australia & Great Britain - Day 3

1840: Mulready 1 d. black, two examples, used both contrary to regulations, one lettersheet dated 4 July 1840 cancelled by red Maltese Cross to the right of Britannia, with blue "The Envelope Select Advertiser" advertisement, has been reduced slightly and with faults and a pre-printing fold variety, the other a 1 d. envelope, undated, the Britannia being struck by a Penny Postage handstamp in red and the Maltese Cross to the right, back flap missing and faults, however a scarce duo.
