Boer War / Prisoner of War Mail 1901: 1 d. carmine on buff postal stationery card, a used example up-rated with 1896 2 d. orange-yellow and sent registered to Germany, with circular "CENSOR PRISONERS OF WAR" in red and counter-signed "AWP" at left, straight line ".BROAD.BOTTOM.CAMP." in red alongside and oval "REGISTERED / ST. HELENA" and circular datestamp of despatch (April 22). Devonport and London transits (May 17) and Konstanz arrival (May 18). A fine and very rare usage.
