"NEUSTRELITZ 10.1.72" as underfranked letter with boxed cancel "Unzureichend frankirt" and red chalk tax "12" (Schillinge) to Hobrö, Denmark. The postage for unfranked covers was 16 shillings, of which 8 shillings (blue tax stamp) had to be paid to the German Reichspost, the 1 groschen value stamp (blue tax stamp "1") was credited with 4 shillings, the missing 12 shillings (red chalk tax "12") was collected from the addressee. The envelope shows signs of wear at the corners, otherwise in good overall condition, an interesting postage paid letter with destination Denmark
