1903/10 Birmingham, small double sided envelope box, embossed on one side '½ D', the flap lid on reverse with '1 D' together with 1910 large envelope-type case with engraved 'C.M.M' to flap, opens to reveal three internal compartments, two small compartments for small stamps each side and full length compartment for large stamps behind. A fine and attractive pair.

1840: Mulready 2 d. blue envelope, stereo a208, a used example to Sidmouth, Devon struck on reverse with italic "Masham / Penny Post" in black and by "Bedale" (Feb 12, 1841) cds in black. Cancelled by Maltese Cross in red, the cover was redirected upon arrival in Sidmouth (Feb 13) and charged "2" pence due to pay in manuscript on arrival in Exeter (Feb 13). A few wrinkles but a very scarce usage Gi = £ 2'250+.
