1903/10 Birmingham, small double sided envelope box, embossed on one side '½ D',  the flap lid on reverse with '1 D' together with 1910 large envelope-type case with engraved 'C.M.M' to flap, opens to reveal three internal compartments, two small compartments for small stamps each side and full length compartment for large stamps behind. A fine and attractive pair.

Century three compartment stamp boxe, one with a hand painted view of 'Chateau Chillon' and 'Dents du Midi' at Lake Geneva, other with view of Lake Lucerne (Urnersee) from Brunnen (Schwyz) on the hinged lids. Slight age-related colour abrasion. A fine and attractive pair of antique Swiss souvenirs.

1840: Mulready 2 d. blue letter-sheet, stereo obscured by wax seal, a used example to Bagshot cancelled by London '16' numeral obliterator on despatch with reverse showing despatch datestamp and Bagshot arrival cds (Sept 27, 1848) in black. File fold at left does not greatly detract from a scarce late usage Gi = £ 2'400+.

1863/86: Mulready 2 d. facsimile envelopes (2), one used in 1863 by Stafford H. Smith stamp dealer from Bath, franked by 1 d. red star tied by "Bath / 53" duplex addressed to Dr. C.W. Viner - a founder of the Royal Philatelic Society - in Pimlico, London, the stamp creased (very rare, just five similiar recorded in Karl Louis Card Index); and an 1886 usage in the USA with 1883 2 c. brown tied by San Francisco duplex mailed to Virginia with E....

1840: 2 d. blue, plate 2, a used block of four lettered ND-NE / OD-OE, large margins all round with portions of adjoining stamps on three sides of the multiple, cancelled by Maltese Crosses, somewhat smudged, in black. 1840 (May): Study of 2 d. blue (shades) with twelve used examples from Plate 1 and a further seven examples from Plate 2, with five cancelled by red Maltese Crosses and fourteen examples cancelled in black; showing the defining characteristics of the two plates with 'TW' joined (Plate 1), Ray Flaws etc. Nearly all of fine appearance but most with small faults Gi = £ 18'500.

1841: 2 d. blue, plate 3, an unused horizontal pair lettered HH-HI, large margins on three sides and just shaved at right, each overprinted SPECIMEN in black, the right hand stamp with the overprint slightly doubled, large part og. Rare Gi E1s = £ 5'500 for a single example.

1841: 2 d. blue, plate 3, imperforate, two used blocks of six, each with four margins, one in the deep full blue shade lettered GJ-GL / HJ-HL with HJ showing the 'J' flaw (Gi ES12i), the other in the pale blue shade lettered OC-OE / PC-PE, with PC and PE each showing Shifted Transfers (Gi ES12d), each cancelled in black. Minor imperfections but a scarce pairing Gi = £ 3'450.

1841: 2 d. blue, plate 3, imperforate, the group of used examples (7, including a cover), all being sheet marginal examples with two from the top of sheet (AE) and AG on piece, two from left of sheet with pair (EA-EB) and single (HA), three from right of sheet HL, IL and KL on entire letter to Worcester. A few imperfections but a seldom seen assembly.
