1840: Mulready 1 d. black letter-sheet, stereo A50, a used example to Helston cancelled by neat black Maltese Cross with "ST. AUSTELL" despatch cds (Feb 12, 1842) and Helston arrival at left (Feb 13). Ironed horizontal fold but a fine Cornish usage Gi = £ 550.

1840: Mulready 1 d. black letter-sheet, stereo A31, a used example from London (Furnival's Inn) to Leeds, cancelled contrary to regulations by fine strike of Maltese Cross in black well to the right of the Britannia. London despatch cds (Nov 18, 1841) on reverse and Leeds double arc arrival cds on obverse. Ironed vertical file fold does not detract from a scarce usage Gi =  £ 550+.

1847/54: Embossed selection with 1 s. green (5) generally fine used examples with all cut square and two usages on 1855/56 entires to New York with the adhesives cut round, 10 d. brown unused example with SPECIMEN handstamp struck horizontally in black, together with a further fine used example; and 6 d. mauve (shades) with three examples used. High catalogue value Gi = £ 5'000+.

1847/54: Embossed 10 d. brown, a fine used example with portion of adjoining stamp at top, used on large piece of cover to Denmark tied by '312' Gloucester numeral obliterator in black. Attractive Gi = £ 1'500.

1859: Entire letter to Rome, Italy with 1 d. red star, 1858 2 d. blue pl. 7, 1855/57 6 d. lilac and 1 s. green in a horizontal pair all tied by "Liverpool / 466" duplexes (Dec 5) paying the double rate. Calais and Paris transits with "Roma / Via Di Mare" arrival (Dec 12) datestamp on reverse. Minor imperfections but a most attractive and scarce four colour franking.

1840/79: Plating study with 1840 1 d. black used (16) incl. three 'Matched Pairs' with 1 d. red imperfs. (Plates 8, 9 and 10) and a cover, 1 d. red imperfs. incl. London No. 10 in Cross usage, 1 d. red 'stars' used (9) all with Inverted Watermark variety, also 1850, 1d. red with 'Archer' Trial perforation used, 1864/79 1 d. red with 'Azemar' Trial cancellation etc. Fair to fine, a useful lot (69 items).
