1841: 1 d. pink envelope used in 1854 from Stafford to Macclesfield at double rate up-rated with imperforate 1 d. red-brown on blued paper and 1847/54 Embossed 6 d. mauve, contemporary scissor faults, all tied by '780' numeral obliterators in black with "Registered" in manuscript across the 6 d. adhesive. Reverse with Stafford despatch cds (May 22). Despite imperfections a very scarce cover and a unique mixed franking.
