Corinphila Auction 291-297 Day 2

1847/54: Embossed 10 d. brown and 1 s. green, margins just touched to fine, used on 1852 registered cover to Bakewell tied by '700' numeral obliterators with "Sheffield" double arc despatch cds at left (Sept 1) in black. Bakewell arrival cds of the following day also on the obverse. Imperfections but an extremely rare franking: only three examples of this 1s.10d. registered inland usage listed in the Karl Louis card index.
