60 reis black, Early Intermediate Impression, a used example with large even margins all round, on 1844 entire letter to Rio de Janeiro tied by bold oval "V. DIAMANTINA" handstamp in brown (Ayres fig. 1524) and showing cruciform manuscript date of despatch "6.9.1844" above. A superb and most attractive cover with just four such recorded by Juchert from Diamantina. Illustrated in Juchert "Bull's Eyes on Covers" on page 178. Signed Calves. Cert.
