1915/24: Collection comprising fourteen leaves with a mix of used and unused examples. Majority of used is contained within a study of the use and postmarks on the Nysaland-Rhodesian Force "N.F." presenting a scarce array of 1916 Field Post Office datestamps, with FPO 1 group of pieces (5) showing 3 d. used in first week of issue (21.9.16), piece with four values incl. 1 s. used from FPO 3; 1 s. used at FPO 4 (15 Sept 1916, the earliest recorded date of use by three days); ½ d. green block of eight used on May 1917 cover, 'Wilson' cover with 1 d. and 4 d. used from FPO 10 etc, ½ d. green optd. N.F., an unused example, marginal from right of sheet handstamped "RUNGWE" diagonally reading up in violet, part og. and several others (Gi N1-5). 1915 German East Africa 30 h. black & carmine "G.R. / MAFIA" in reddish violet unused one blunt perf. fresh and large part og. (Gi M6C). 1915 India IEF 3 a. orange handstamped overprint "G. R / POST / MAFIA" in black fine used example part "Mafia" cds in blue (Gi M38 scarce just 512 issued). Complete set of six values of the "G.E.A. 1921 12 c. to 5 r. overprinted with 'SPECIMEN' in black (Gi 63-68s). Some imperfections and faults, otherwise a fascinating and scarce assortment Gi = £ 3'725+.
