Second French Occupation 1807-1809/14 1807 (Sept 7): Letter written to Général Clarke, dictated at Meneval and signed by Napoleon Bonaparte at base, concerning Corfu "The French and Italian troops at Corfu have to be part of the Army at Naples until new orders. They will be fed and paid by the Military chest of the Kingdom of Naples", with a follow-up to these instructions at base concerning the Paymaster Gherardini's presence on Corfu. The French text transcribed accompanies the lot, the letter signed at base "Nap" by Napoleon.
