Austrian Post Office in Smirna 1864: Entire letter from Smirna to London struck with fine SMIRNE datestamp (31/12) of Consular P.O. in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 4), sent unpaid with weakly struck "7." in blue at top applied in Trieste (Van der Linden fig. 3106) and fine gothic "7½" (silbergroschen) handstamp in black applied in Aachen (Van der Linden fig. 3108) and charged "1/1d." due in manuscript upon arrival (Jan 10, 1865). An attractive usage.
