lot # 8549 - bremen stamps
1866, 3 Grote on blue-grey, perforated, type I with field feature "sheet over the crown" = type IV, fresh colours and well perforated, with clear and exactly centrally applied, small blue boxed cancel "BREMEN Bahnhof." on envelope from the well-known Claussen correspondence to Bremerhaven with reverse arrival datestamp. The stamp (postage stamp) was detached for inspection and is in perfect condition apart from a tiny corner crease. All in all, an attractive letter of this speciality; only one other letter of this stamp (postage stamp) in type IV is known.
