TURKEY: Abdul Hamid II, 1876-1909, AR medal, AH1300 (1883), NP-1112, Grand Medal of Distinction (Tarz-i jedid Buyuk Imtiyaz), unnamed, with ribbon, and suspender, lovely toned example, EF to About Unc, R. The Imtiyaz Medal was an Ottoman military decoration, instituted in 1882. It was presented in two classes, gold and silver and awarded for extraordonary bravery and loyalty to the State.
