1911 (March 7): 25 c., $ 1 and $ 2 in composite printer's sample miniature sheet of nine in black & vermilion, unused, no gum, three values se-tenant ($ 1 row 1, $ 2 row 2 and 25 c. row 3), perf. 12½, each unit with small security punch hole and diagonally overprinted in black 'WATERLOW & SONS LTD. / SPECIMEN' (Type WS1). In addition, comes with four imperforate printer's sample stamps for the 25 c. in black & orange, $ 10 in black & green and unpunched although with 'WATERLOW & SONS LTD. / SPECIMEN' (Type WS1 but variant without stop after Ltd) and $ 1 in black & orange and the $ 5 in black & green similarly unpunched but the overprint with the fullstop after Ltd and affixed to sample book pieces with reference number above. A fine and rare group (5).
