Auction 333-341 Europe & Overseas - Day 5

1934: Experimental rocket flight bearing two imperforate triangular labels, with one label displaying normally a face value of 7.70 l. but with this denomination omitted. Additionally, two postage stamps – 10 c. and 15 c. from the Centenary of the Military Medal series – are affixed. The entire piece is cancelled with "TRIESTE CAPO DI PIAZZA 31.10.34" and a special postmark reading "OTTOBRE ESPERIMENTI DI POSTA / PER RAZZO ESPRESSO TRIESTE 1934". Signed and accompanied by a detailed certificate by Longhi (2004), which confirms that, to date, this is the only known label of its kind. A Rarity!
