The Panathenaic Stadium surrounded by the legend ""ΠΑΝΑΘΗΝΑΙΚΟΝ ΣΤΑΔΙΟΝ / ΗΡΩΔΗΣ - ΑΒΕΡΩΦ / ΕΝ ΑΘΗΝΑΙΣ"" and the inscriptions ""ΝΗΣΙΩΤΗΣ"" at left and ""ΧΡΥΣΟΧΟΟΣ"" at right below the stadium on obverse. Olive wreath surrounded by the legend ""ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΙ ΑΓΩΝΕΣ / 776πΧ 1896"" on reverse. Herod and Averof were the financiers of the construction of the Stadium. Struck by Nisiotis (Athens).
