1862, 5d lake-brown, perf. 13, WITHOUT WATERMARK, mint with lightly hinged original gum. A few perforations have been added but still a very fresh example of this CEYLON RARITY of which only 5520 have been printed. It is believed that less than 12 are known with original gum. This rare unused stamp was missing in the Caspary and Dale-Lichtenstein collections, the Hackmey collection only included a single unused example. Certificate RPS. SG 40 1800 GBP
