French Post Offices 1859: France Napoleon 80 c. rose (Yvert 17B), used on 1862 attractive mourning cover, from Cairo with Type IV "POSTA EUROPEA / CAIRO" despatch (July 21) in black, thence via French P.O. in Alexandria to Florence, Italy via Livorno, tied by petit chiffres "3704", with "Alexandria / Egypte" cds (July 22). Reverse with Livorno transit (July 30) and arrival. A scarce combination usage.
