Austrian Post Office in Smirna 1858: Entire letter from Smirna to Amsterdam , Netherlands struck with fine SMIRNE datestamp (20/3) of Consular P.O. in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 4), sent unpaid with manuscript '12/15' = 27 kreuzer to pay, struck in transit with framed "7¼" (Silbergroschen) handstamp in blue (Van der Linden fig. 3107). Reverse with Amsterdam arrival (28/3) cds in red where charged '30' cents due in manuscript. An unusual destination at this date and a fine cover.
